Job Description
We’re on a mission to protect society from fraud and money laundering. Fraud and regulation are rising, costing the UK economy over £100bn every year; this makes it more difficult for businesses to protect themselves and their clients - individuals like you and me - from fraud and money laundering.
Our co-founders Olly and Jack were led to this area when a friend was defrauded of £25K when buying their first property. At the time, anti-fraud technology didn’t exist, which meant that completing the anti-fraud checks required in these processes was largely manual. These big life moments should be exciting, but instead are often confusing and scary due to the painful process of completing these paper-based checks and the risk of fraud.
Thirdfort helps businesses to facilitate these anti fraud checks so that individuals know they can transact safely and seamlessly with professionals during these big transactions.
Our anti-fraud platform provides a secure way for professionals in regulated sectors like Lawyers, Estate Agents and Accountants to transfer funds and verify sensitive information through app based document checks, facial recognition and open banking.
Over 1500 businesses now trust Thirdfort to verify their clients. We are FCA regulated and have raised over $25m in capital from leading Fintech investors Breega and Element Ventures, as well as the founders of Zoopla, Funding Circle, Comply Advantage, Tessian, Fenergo and Fidel.
About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to join our Technology department and play a key role in engineering the next iteration of our iOS mobile application. It’s a really exciting time to join the team, as we are just in the early stages of modernising and simplifying our technology stack. Being specific, you’ll be taking a lead role in migrating from Native to React Native, alongside driving forwards technical excellence in our mobile technical domain through initiatives to improve test coverage and automate delivery.
Longer term, this is also a great opportunity for somebody who wants to step outside of the mobile domain and become more full-stack, and be capable across the full software stack, and wants to own the end-to-end delivery of high quality features that drive forwards our organisational goals.
About the Team:
We’re a remote first, mixed discipline team of around 20 software engineers with various specialisations although we’re all continuous learners and hence are in the process of growing our skills to become more capable of contributing across our entire tech stack. We work cross-functionally across the organisation, working together to distill complexity down into small, value focused deliverables that we can ship quickly and iterate on.
Day to day, we’re trusted to work in the way that suits us best which at present is a mix of Shape Up and Scrum, but we’re constantly challenging ourselves to continuously improve our way of working.
