Beyond the blanket: The 2026 MLR changes explained

- 10:30-11:15am

The Money Laundering Regulations (MLRs) are changing, and on paper it looks like less work. Mandatory enhanced due diligence (EDD) is being narrowed, and the long high-risk country list shrinks to a handful. But less prescription means more rests on your judgement: deciding what counts as "unusually complex" for your clients, and being able to defend the call. We’ll be joined by Ray Blake of The Dark Money Files as he cuts through what's actually changing, what it means in practice and where compliance teams will feel it first.
